An Adventurer,
Then an Author

In October and November 2013, I walked across the Rocky Mountains alone to retrace the trail of Lewis & Clark. Every few days, I recorded my observations & experiences in a journal… seven weeks on the trail of self-discovery in one of the most isolated areas of America. The story was published as “Lost on Purpose” on Amazon in November 2015. Imagine my surprise when it became a Kindle #1 Bestseller in Adventure Travel, Mountaineering, Solo Travel, & Extreme Sports.

I imagined & lived more adventures, & wrote more books… five of them in a series called ‘Real-life Adventures of the Texas Yeti’. Collectively, they’ve earned 11 Kindle #1 Bestseller spots across 6 Amazon categories. Each narrative draws from my personal journals, offering readers a raw, introspective look at my experiences & the lessons they’ve taught me about life, purpose, & resilience.

“What makes these books compelling is their honesty. Taylor doesn’t preach; he shares from a vast pool of experience. And in doing so, he gives readers permission to rethink what matters, to dream a little wilder, & to remember that life isn’t just something to survive—it’s something to explore. These are stories that linger long after the last page.”
